Shucking Saturdays week 15

Here it is Saturday again, it seems the week goes by rather quickly these days (which sometimes is a good thing).  I went out to a Brr-Lesque show last night with some people from a meetup group I joined.  The show was pretty good and some of the costume were awesome. I went as a simple devil lol.


  I didn't drink too much last night for 2 MAJOR REASONS!  1- Weigh In this morning and 2- I had to drive.  I did really well, I only had one (yes that is right 1) singular margarita!!!!  Also I did not cave to food that purchased by my table for the group.  I tried to eat "somewhat" healthy before I went just so I would not over indulge and you know what it worked I did great!!!!!  When I stepped on that scale today I had lost 3.8 LBS!!!!  YAY!!!!!!  Which brings my total (with WW) to: 36.8 LBS and my total (since in AK) to: 45.4 LBS!!!!!!
The other day I was actually thinking about the goal I had set for my Birthday and I have a correction to make to it.  So I would like to be 199 (or less) by my Birthday (which is in the middle of May).  So to reach that goal that means that I would need to lose 90 LBS!!!!!!!  So with that being said I am officially half way now!!!!  I am half way and it is the end of Oct.  I still have about 6 and 1/2 months to lose the other 45 LBS!!!  That is definitely possible.  That even allows for my weight lose to slow down (which I hope it doesn't).  I have 28.5 weeks to go and if I can even lose .6LBS every week form here on out I will hit this amazing goal!!!  I know I can do it and I will do it!!!!

Shucking Saturdays Week 14!!!

Here we go again another week of weighing in and of course I am was scared going to the scale only because I had a rough week when it came to eating.  I had so much "junk" food this week and really did not get to work out much.  First of all, have you ever had Ben and Jerry's ice cream?  Well if you have or even if you haven't you should try Half Baked.  However I must warn you it is super yummy and very delicious!!  Well, my brother in-law was trying to be really sweet and nice and got all 3 of us a pint of this amazing goodness.  Well, I sat there and I ate the entire thing in one sitting.  I felt like shit afterwards and the guilt was killing me which is why the extreme worry about weighing in. 

Shockingly when I weighed in this morning I had actually lost weight.  I lost  3.6LBS!!!!!  So now that  brings my total loss with WW to 33LBS!!!!!!  Which makes my total since being in ALASKA to: 41.6 LBS!!!!!  OMG I am more than half way to my Birthday goal.  I would love to lose 81lbs by my Birthday (which is in May)!!!  If I can keep on this track I just might do it, I only have 39.4LBS to go!!!!!!

Shucking Saturdays..Week 13

I made it to weight watchers this morning and was concerned that I was going to gain just because of the high loss the last week.  I stepped on the scale and to my wondrous surprise I had lost 3.8lbs!!!!  YAY!!!  I was VERY HAPPY to see that.  Well the good news keeps flowing because today I also hit my 10% with WW.  With WW when you hit 10% they give you a key chain to celebrate this AMAZING Accomplishment!!!!!



 My total loss with WW is 29.4lbs and total since being in Alaska is 38lbs!!!!  38lbs!!  Can you believe it?  I can't!!!  I am just in total shock that I, April Koehn, could lose that weight.  I still have a long ways to go but I know I can do it!!!!  I have been super busy working at my new job, which I love!!!!  They keep me really busy running around that bakery like crazy!!!  So right now my job is the "workout" that I get because I don't like to get up earlier than I have too.  I am wanting to change that and hopefully join a gym to workout before work.  We will see how well that goes!!!!  I will keep you posted!

Shucking Saturdays! Wk 12

With the help of my sis I have decided to call my weigh in days, Shucking Saturdays!  I must say thank you Aunt Dolly for the few suggestions they were great!  This morning I went to my WW meeting with hopes of at least losing the 1.2lbs I gained last week.  Well, I stepped on the scare with my fingers crossed and the lady behide the counter said, "this can't be right!" I said why what is it?  Tell it to me straight sister!!  She said I lost  8.2 lbs!!!!!  Yes you read that right 8.2!!!!!  I was so happy I almost cried!!!  So then I sat down for the meeting and when it came to reward time I got a 5 lb. star and I got a disk (picture below)
This disk represents a 25lbs loss (with WW).  I came home and told my sis all about it and she gave me a this chain to put it on.  She said this was her favorite chain, but I could have it to celebrate my loss.  She almost made me cry .  So now my total loss since I have been in Alaska is 33lbs.  As you can tell I am EXTREMELY HAPPY!!!!

WELL.....

Well, it is going.  I have been working and I think I get a lot out of work.  In the bakery we do a lot of "running " around, which I think is helping with my loss.  I am trying to make myself get up earlier and get the motivation to work out before work.  So far that has been a NO GO!!!  It is just, I don't want to get up out of bed.  I like to lay around and relax.  I sure as hell don't want to roll out of bed and start working out.  I need to change that, I need to set up a routine to do in the mornings before work.  We will see how that goes.  As far as tracking goes, I have done pretty well with it this week.  I won't be weighing in until Saturday to see how I did.  I hope I have a loss.

The Bakery...

Today I started my job in the bakery, actually working around all that great, wonderful, smelly goodness.  You are probably thinking, there goes her weight loss.  O.K. so that thought crossed my mind once just because it is actually in my job description to do taste testings.  Oh my gosh, taste test a wonderful tasty treat just so I can tell the customer how delicious it is.  I am in trouble.  With weight watchers they say if you bite it, you write it.  So the next few weeks my tracker is going to say bite choc. cupcake, bite apple pie, bite choc. covered strawberries.  It will be ok, I can face this challenge.  I can still stay on track and do my job to 110%, it will be hard but hey someone has to do it right?  I am actually hoping that working here has a different effect of me, I hope that being around it all day, preparing it and selling is going to make me not want any.  Does that actually work?  I think it might.  It is well worth a try.  I am defiantly going to be getting some exercise at work.  Tonight we did a lot of cleaning (we are suppose to be getting inspected very soon, as in tomorrow).  Wiping, sweeping, moping, bending, lifting, etc.  I think this will help too.  We shall see, keep your fingers crossed for me.
I am trying to do better this week with tracking and so far so good.  I tracked everything I ate today.  I actually ate all my points too.  Apparently if you don't eat all of your daily points you can gain weight, which is what I think may have happened last week.  Some nights I was hungry when I was going to bed.  So, this week I am serious about this tracking business.  Hope it shows on the scale next week.  I like to weigh in on Tuesdays and I have that catchy title for my weigh in days; Tipping Scales Tuesdays, but I think I may have to switch to Saturday Mornings because of my work schedule.  I am on the closing shift so I am not out in time to go to WW on Tuesdays. Now I have to think of a catchy title for Saturdays.  Any suggestions?
