Personal trainer

Today I had my first visit with my personal trainer, Sarah.

She took my weight which is 96.1 kg (211.8 lbs) I was actually very happy about that even though the loss I have experienced has not been healthy.  It is due to working way too many hours, not eating and it being so damn hot and I work in a kitchen, I am sweating my weight away.  She also took measurements of my thighs, chest, hips and stomach.  I don't really know all these numbers right now.  I roughly looked at the sheet as she was filling it out but sadly I didn't note it myself.  I will find out and post them when I can.  This way we can track my loss all the way around.  I am super excited about that because I know the number on the scale is not everything.  What was really embarrassing was when she tried to take my blood pressure (Normally my BP is great) but the cuff barely fit on my flabby arm and we could not get a good reading.  What a slap in the face huh?  We are going to try again in a few weeks.  Hopefully my arms will start to get toned enough for the cuff to fit.  After all that she had me doing some lunges, push-ups, planks, and messed around with the big ball.  She also had me on the roe machine.  I have to say I actually really like the roe machine.  I did 407 meters (roughly a quarter of a mile) in 2 minutes.  Originally she said lets do 300 meters in 2 minutes and I smashed the 300 way early so she said go to 350 and I smashed that and then she changed it to 400 all in the same 2 minutes.  I nailed it!  Go ME! I think I will be using that machine a lot more when I go on my own.  I feel like I did the lunges ok until she gave a 5 kg (11 lbs) disk to hold above my head doing lunges and she was pushing me, I had to hold my balance and not drop the weight.  I didn't drop the weight but I did struggle a bit with the balance part when she was pushing me around.  My next training with her is on Thursday at noon.  I am looking forward to the next visit because she said next time she is going to push me harder.  On another positive side she said I actually surprised her with some of the assessment.  Since I have never had a trainer before.  We have a lot of work to do on my core.  I guess I didnt' stick with yoga enough in Portland hahaha!  Today was a good workout day for me and it really opened my eyes.  I am more ready now than I have ever been.  It is happening my friends I am finally going to be a smaller version of my self and a healthier one at that!
